About SNAP
SNAP (Support for Newly Adoptive Parents) has been part of AFFGS from day one because we realize that education and support should not end once a child joins your family. But the addition of a child often brings new stressors to the family unit and it can be hard to attend in-person support group meetings, or even just catch up with friends over coffee.
AFFGS moved its SNAP group to an online social media platform for this reason exactly. Now you can share with other newly adoptive parents about your struggles and triumphs, seek recommendations for pediatric eye doctors, or maybe even have a chat with other new parents awake at 2 AM. Once your newly formed (or added to) family is settled, we hope you will continue your relationship with other families in person, at our awesome events scheduled throughout the year!
