About AWAIT
AWAIT (Adoption Waiting: Anxiety, Intensity, Triumph!) was formed for families waiting to adopt and is designed to support you through the adoption process. The primary goals of AWAIT are to:
- Provide education on adoption alternatives and the steps to take to achieve your goal,
- Provide a safe place to talk about the anxiety, intensity, and triumphs of your experience,
- Provide a forum where the group can share information and help each other in problem-solving along the adoption journey, and
- Create a network of friendships that will become a support group of adoptive families for your child in the future.
Meetings are held online on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7:00-8:30 PM (except when rescheduled due to holidays). All prospective parents are welcome and encouraged to join us! For more details about meetings or to be added to the AWAIT-only email list, please email our AWAIT Coordinator.
