About AWAIT
AWAIT (Adoption Waiting: Anxiety, Intensity, Triumph!) was formed for families waiting to adopt and is designed to support you through the adoption process.
The primary goals of AWAIT are to:
- Provide education on adoption alternatives and the steps to take to achieve your goal,
- Provide a safe place to talk about the anxiety, intensity, and triumphs of your experience,
- Provide a forum where the group can share information and help each other in problem-solving along the adoption journey, and
- Create a network of friendships that will become a support group of adoptive families for your child in the future.
Meetings are held in-person on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 7-8 PM (except when rescheduled due to holidays).
Location: University Presbyterian Church 4540 15th Ave. NE in Seattle – Knox Family Room
FREE PARKING across the street on 15th Avenue (Sign says for church business only – that’s us!)
Doors are typically locked; flag the security guard for entry and ask for the Knox Family Room
