Workshop – Safety in the Digital Age: Parenting Tips and Tricks to Keep Your Kids Safe Online
Speaker: Nathan LaChine
What is actually happening in your child’s online world—and how can you keep them safe in it?
Join the AFFGS community for an afternoon with Nathan LaChine, a longtime foster parent and nationally recognized trainer on youth safety and exploitation. Drawing from decades of real-world experience, Nathan will walk us through the risks kids face online—and what caregivers can do about them.
Together, we’ll explore:
• How online interactions can escalate into real-world risks
• The tactics used in grooming, coercion, and exploitation
• How digital communication can mask risky behavior
• Practical ways to talk with kids and respond effectively
After the presentation, we’ll have time to connect, reflect, and talk together with other caregivers who are also walking this parenting path.
