Adoption School - Education Workshop Series
Join us for this three part series of education workshops!
Adopted kids are 3x more likely than kids born to their families to have learning challenges - some research shows that up to half of them have diagnosed disabilities.
Come join the AFFGS (Adopted Friends and Families of Greater Seattle) Community this school year in a 3 part educational series to learn more about:
- navigating the school systems and supports in Washington State (November 2024)
- the developmental effects of early drug exposure as well as subtle symptoms of fetal alcohol spectrum that can have profound effects on learning (February 2025)
- an interactive workshop with a local play therapist to learn more about how to both support your kids at home and get your own needs met for more effective and connected parenting (May 2025)
